GrantMatcher runs entirely on official, openly licensed EU data. Here's where each piece comes from, what we use it for, and where the gaps are.

Data is reused under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU on the reuse of Commission documents (most datasets are published under CC BY 4.0). Open calls are synced daily; historical datasets are refreshed when their publishers update them.
"All EU grants" isn't one database. Programmes managed directly by the Commission share one portal. Regional funds are run by national and regional authorities, each publishing in its own way.

Outside the scope of EU grant data
An estimate needs published counts of proposals submitted and funded. This is how specific we can be for each programme family.
